A New Favorite

I love living so close to the beach, and I love doing portraits there... and this is a prime example. The light near sunset is just soooooooo beautiful, and flattering. I love this portrait from a recent shoot... just look at the gorgeous golden glow it gives her!

The next generation...

... or maybe a future assistant??? I took my son to this field to try to get some nice new pics of him, but he was more interested in taking his own pictures. He's been bitten by the photo bug and its been really fun to have a common interest with my little guy! Of course, next week he may move on to something else ... but for now I will just enjoy the time we spend together!

Nothing like a new baby...

There really is nothing like a new baby. This is the same baby shown below in the sneak peek, but I couldnt resist posting just one more from his very first photoshoot. He is just the sweetest little thing...

Sunflare!!!

Though it is sometimes viewed as a "mistake", I think sunflare - those blobs of color you see spreading across a backlit image, can be beautiful, and add a lot to an image. You see more and more of it used creatively in fashion magazines and the like. I was having some fun with a neighbors beautiful sunflower which was backlit by the setting sun and captured this lovely sunflare! Hope it, and the wonderful sunflower, brighten your day!
